Two RAKs, and they move differently

Ras Al Khaimah divides cleanly for our purposes. The master-planned coastal communities — Al Hamra Village, Mina Al Arab, Bab Al Bahr — are modern, gated and organised, with villa access by gate registration and apartment buildings that book a service lift much like Dubai.

The older city districts around Al Nakheel, Al Mamourah, Al Dhait and Julphar are a different job: older buildings, several without a service lift, narrower streets and tighter parking. A third-floor walk-up in Al Nakheel needs a larger crew than a lift-served apartment in Al Hamra, and we price it that way.

Regular RAK work covers Al Hamra Village and Al Hamra Marina, Mina Al Arab, Bab Al Bahr, Al Nakheel, Al Dhait, Al Mamourah, Khuzam, Al Rams, and the industrial and warehouse units around Al Jazeera Al Hamra and the RAK free zones.

A meaningful share of our RAK work is holiday-home and second-property related — furnishing, refurnishing or clearing a coastal apartment rather than a full household relocation. Those are smaller, quicker jobs and are quoted as such.

RAK to Dubai

Ras Al Khaimah is roughly 110 km from Dubai, an hour and a half or so each way outside peak. As with Al Ain, the planning principle is one properly loaded run rather than shuttling, and we size vehicles to carry the whole load in a single trip wherever it fits.

RAK-Dubai moves are commonly job-driven with dates that do not align at both ends. Secure storage covers the gap.

What it costs and what is included

Quotes cover packing materials, packing and unpacking, dismantling and reassembly, transport, placement to your direction and removal of used packing material. Storage, crating and technician-required appliance work are quoted separately.

A one-bedroom apartment in Al Hamra is a half-day job. A four-bedroom villa in Mina Al Arab is a full day with a crew of four to five. Inter-emirate runs to Dubai add roughly half a day. Prices are fixed on WhatsApp before the move.

How a RAK move runs, step by step

1. Survey. Video walkthrough for apartments, in person for larger villas. We establish early whether you are in a master-planned community or an older city building, because that decides crew size.

2. Fixed quote. Written on WhatsApp with crew, vehicle and timing stated. It does not change unless the inventory does.

3. Access arranged. Gate registration for the coastal communities, or lift booking and deposit where the building requires one.

4. Pack, load, deliver. Full pack with materials, dismantling and reassembly, and a single loaded run for inter-emirate moves rather than repeated shuttles.

Common questions about moving in Ras Al Khaimah

Do you cover RAK from Dubai? Yes. RAK is a declared service area and we run scheduled moves there, including holiday-home furnishing and clearance jobs.

My building has no service lift. What changes? The crew size, not a surcharge. We state it in the quote rather than adding it on the day.
